Obtaining that dazzling white smile is possible with some maintenance and proper dental care. In order to be your best, you need to pay attention to the personal details throughout your life and overlooking your teeth is certainly not a detail you would ever want to overlook. Proper dental care doesn't have to be difficult if you maintain the same daily routine.
First and foremost, it's extremely important to keep up with your scheduled teeth cleanings. Just like you have to tune up your car to keep it running, you must "tune up" your teeth in order to keep them beautiful and functioning property.
It's also extremely important to brush with a toothpaste that helps to not only strengthen but whiten your teeth. Your mouth should feel amazing after brushing and if it doesn't, then switch your toothpaste. You should also be flossing at least once a day. Your dentist will encourage several times per day but realistically if you get one floss in you're doing better than most.
You'll hear people say that drinking coffee and red wine will change the color of your teeth. This is true to a certain degree so it's important to remember these simple tips. Before you drink your coffee or red wine, you must start out with really clean teeth. If possible, brush your teeth before drinking these liquids. Why? Because if you don't brush before then the colors will stick to the plaque that's already on your teeth making the color change very visible. If you start out with clean teeth, the chances of your teeth being stained is reduced. Also, after you've finished with your beverages, brush your teeth right away. There is no need to let your teeth sit with coffee and red wine on them. Brush them and you'll reduce the risk of teeth discoloration by a lot. I'm an avid coffee and red wine drinker and my teeth continue to stay sparkly white. Soda is the worst thing you can ever put into your mouth because it literally eats away at your teeth. If you're going to drink soda, do yourself a favor and brush your teeth immediately after.
If your teeth are looking dull it's time to invest in some white strips. Changes are there is no need to spend hundred of dollars to have your teeth professionally whitened when you can literally get the same results in the comfort of your own home. I recommend doing white strips twice a year to keep your teeth looking white and fresh.
In addition to property maintaining your teeth, it's also important to eat property so they can stay healthy from the inside out. Foods like raw carrots and apples are great for your teeth because they actually clean then while you eat! Eating foods rich in enough calcium is also essential to maintaining healthy teeth. Dairy, soy, nuts, beans, vegetables and fish all are great sources of calcium.

The Eyes
Your eyes can be one of the sexiest and most alluring parts of your body. They are also one of the most delicate areas and so it's extremely important that you property care for them in every aspect so you can use them to your benefit throughout your life.
Proper eye care beings with a strict daily regimen of moisturizing. Even at a young age it's important to properly care for your eyes. You shouldn't wait until you start seeing wrinkles to being an anti-age regimen. Almost any anti-aging eye-wrinkle cream will work and it's important to test several different brands and types in order to find the one that suites you best. Make sure to select an eye cream with an SPF in it. Typically you will find creams with an SPF of 15 but if you can find an SPF of 30, that is ideal. When applying your eye cream, you want to do so lightly. Never pull or tug at the skin around your eyes because it's delicate and as you age, your skin has less elasticity, which is the ability to bounce back.
It's important to remember that you should apply not only a day cream around your eyes but a night cream as well. It's important to remove all eye makeup gently before going to bed and lightly applying a night cream to your eyes and your face. Again, you'll want to test several creams before you find the one that suites you best.
Just like there you would want to change your daytime look to an evening look, you'll want to do the same with your eye makeup. When taking your eyes from day to night, by planning ahead and starting with the right colors, you won't need to remove everything and start from scratch.
Daytime make up should be subtle yet complimenting to your eyes. You certainly don't want to look like your going for a night on the town while at the office but you also don't want to scrimp either. Soft browns, greens, tans and greys are the perfect colors for daytime makeup and they are easy to transform into nighttime eyes.
Your eyes should be the first thing you do when applying your make up. You'll want to start with a light color to highlight underneath your eyebrows. White or light grey work well for this. Using an eye make-up applicator or eye make-up brush, lightly apply the light color first.
Next, you'll want to use a medium shade for the entire eye lid surface. Once the entire lid is covered, you'll take one shade darker and apply just above the eye, covering just the lid.
Lastly, you'll take a darker shade and highlight the bone in between your lid and your eyebrow. Using your finger, lightly blend everything together.
A black eyeliner pencil is best for lightly tracing underneath your eye, which will make your eyes pop. The final step in perfect eyes is the mascara. If you're comfortable using an eyelash curler, this is the time. Curl your lashes and then apply your mascara. Make sure the mascara is not clumpy but make sure you coat all the lashes, top and bottom.
In order to take this daytime look to night, select your more vibrant colors like blues, purples, black and dark greys. You will literally re-trace your steps. There is no need to wipe off all the makeup you applied in the morning. Changes are by the end of the day, much of it has worn off anyway and since you've used natural colors, those colors will blend in with the vibrant ones making for some excellent eye make up.
For a great nighttime look, you'll want to start out the same way by highlighting underneath your eyebrow with a light eyeshadow, white, light grey or even a very light blue. Next, you'll take the most vibrant color, a brilliant blue or purple and color the rest of your eye lid.
Then, using a dark black, blue or purple, darken just the lid and begin to highlight the bone with the same color. Blend together with your finger.
Re-apply the black eye pencil underneath, slightly thicker this time and re-apply mascara if needed.

The Face
Even if you're not an artist, which most of us are not, you must think of your face as a beautiful canvas and you need to get good at painting it. Let's face it, you only get one face in this life and in order to put your best foot and face forward it's worth learning how to accentuate your greatest features and disguise you're least favorites.
Makeup does not need to be complicated or intricate. If you think you don't have time for make up in the morning, you're wrong. You can get by with a few simple basics that take less than 5 minutes to accomplish. Remember, your face is the first thing you greet people with and in order to get ahead and make the best impression possible, it's a good idea to get to know your face and what makes it tick. We're all knockouts, we just need to learn how to bring out our inner bombshell.
The first thing you want to experiment with is foundation or powder. It's very important to determine the right color for your skin-type and also switch it up if any one particular foundation or powder makes you dry, oily or causes a break out.
My personal habit is simple. I apply a make-up stick one shade lighter than my actual skin color to any imperfections on my face; red marks, blemishes, etc. Then I take a bronzing powder and lightly apply using a large blush brush. Everyone looks great with a light sun-kissed glow and this technique is as easy as it is quick.
Never use a darker make up stick than your skin tone because if your using it to cover blemishes or imperfections on your face, it's going to do the complete opposite by accentuating them.
Next choose a blush which compliments your skin. You can always try different shades at a makeup counter in order to determine the best shade for you. Never apply too much blush. Blush is used to accentuate your cheek bones and give you that sexy, slightly flushed look. Your blush should also compliment your foundation, powder or bronzer perfectly. You may take a few tries to find the best color combinations but once you do, you'll notice that your look will be flawless and very easy to create each day.
Keep in mind that as the seasons change, so will your skin. You can switch up from powder to foundation or vise versa if your skin is feeling too try or too oily.
The key with foundation is to apply it property. If your foundation is cakey or is not blended exactly, it will look like clown makeup. Personally, unless you have many imperfections on your face that you'd like to conceal, I would stick to a make-up stick for the small ones and a powder or bronzing powder. It gives you that fresh look that women and men swoon for.
The order in which to apply your makeup should be the following: eyes, face, lips. This order works best because sometimes eye makeup can get on your cheeks or mascara can smudge under your eyes. If you've already applied your face makeup, then removing the unwanted eye makeup from your face will be a chore. Lipstick should be last because when your applying makeup you don't want foundation or powder going onto your lips. You also wouldn't want to smudge your lipstick onto the side of your face.

The Lips
People often ask me how I manage to always keep my lipstick perfectly intact. I've developed a technique that allows my lipstick to remain on all day without drying out my lips. Lipstick is actually a great lip protectant in that when your outside in the sun, many times women forget to care about their lips but if you're wearing lipstick, it's protectant against the suns harmful rays.
They key to having the perfect lipstick is to mix the shades. I like to keep 3-4 lipstick options with me for a quick switch from day to nighttime lips. Mixing the shades also locks in the color and gives you a shade that is all your own. The key to mixing shades is selecting a darker color for the bottom layer which you'll apply first and then selecting a lighter matte for the top coat.
When selecting lip stick colors, you'll want to keep in mind the size of your lips. If you have small lips, you may have thought that going darker will make them look larger. This is not the case. If you want the appearance of larger and fuller lips, you will need to select a slightly dark shade for the bottom layer followed by a matte over top and then a gloss right in the middle. This gives the illusion of full, pouty lips.
If you have larger lips, you can accentuate by going bold with colors or you can down play by using soft pale colors with a touch of gloss over top.
As I said, there is a method to applying lipstick so that you will get the most wear out of it throughout the day.
Step One: Apply your base coat to dry lips. Your base coat will be the darker shade. If you have smaller lips, really try to outline the shape of your lips and feel free to accentuate a tiny bit. Next, using a tissue firmly blot your lips.
Step Two: Using a lighter shade, preferably something matte or a lighter color with a hint of shimmer, retrace your lips with this lipstick, using 2-3 coats. Repeat by blotting with a tissue to remove any access lipstick.
Step Three: Choose a gloss that is also light or clear. For daytime gloss, I prefer to apply a dab just in the middle of my bottom lip. If it's a nighttime look, apply over your entire lips.
This technique is by far the best way to have fabulous looking lips all day. Be sure to bring your lipstick with you in your purse for any necessary touch ups.
In order to avoid getting lipstick onto your teeth, fold your tissue into fours and place between closed lips. Then slowly pull the tissue out. This will remove any access lipstick that may have gotten underneath your lips.

what you put in is what you get out
The first step to really mastering your own beauty is to carefully monitor what you put into your body. In order to get alluring and flawless skin, bright teeth, dazzling eyes, shiny hair and strong nails, you need to be aware that what you put in is ultimately what you get out.
Nutrition is not something to brush off lightly. Nutrition can play a very important role in how you look and feel throughout your entire life. It's something to learn and understand so that you can live a beautifully bright and healthy life.
To me, proper nutrition is all about balancing what you want to eat with what you need to eat. You'll hear many people say that cutting out all carbohydrates is the key for success but I completely disagree. When you're eating a bowl of pasta for example, make a great sauce loaded with tons of vegetables such as tomatoes, carrots, onions, garlic, eggplant and anything else you'd like to throw in. That way, you're getting a huge dose of those feel good endorphins which are produced by carbohydrates that everyone wants to eat, but your also giving your body the essential vitamins it so desperately needs.
Eating different types of fish is also an excellent way to give your body and especially your brain the essential fatty acids it needs to keep you on top of your game and getting those essential nutrients will also help with you skin, hair and nails look flawless.
Stiving for a diet low in fat, high in vegetables, packed with good carbohydrates and wise protein choices is utimatley the best plan for achieving the best YOU.
I would also like to stress that protein does not necessarily mean bacon, steak and eggs. Protein is also found in beans, lean meats, fish, cereals and vegetables. You will not put your best foot or face forward if you gobble down high fat proteins each day thinking that you're doing the right thing. You'll wind up feeling sluggish and bloated, not feelings that one would willingly strive for.
Listen, if you want to eat a piece of cake, go for it. Just don't eat the entire cake and please counter balance that cake with a great nutricious breakfast the following day, packed with fruits and whole grains.
Life and nuticion are all about balancing. No one is ever going to be able to eat perfectly all the time. The faster you realize that and understand that because of that, you'll have to compenseate by making sure that you are eating the right things for the next meal, the more successful and fabulous you'll be.
